Through money raised from BlakeStrong Events such as the BlakeStrong Golf Outing and BlakeStrong Fest, the BlakeStrong Bowell Fund works to provide support towards furthering cancer research and supporting cancer impacted families. Additionally, several scholarships are awarded annually as well as providing support for several community projects close to the hearts of the Blake Bowell Family.
Blake's Garden At Garfield Park
The garden formerly known as The Children's Garden at Garfield Park renovation and renaming was born from a love that Blake had for Garfield Park. Blake spent many fun filled days at the park as a child and then working for the park at various times while in high school and college. It is now home to the gorgeous 'Divine Light' art by Kenzie Funk as well as 'Fran's Place', designed as a space for demonstrations and educational programs.
BlakeStrong Bowell Fund is humbled and honored to have been recognized by the Indy Chamber Monumental Affairs Awards for 2019.
Blake’s Children’s Garden was awarded both the People’s Choice Award and the Achievement Award for Landscape Architecture.
Additionally, Blake's Children's Garden was also awarded the Indiana Parks and Recreation Award for Excellence in Landscape Design for 2019.
The BlakeStrong Bowell Fund support will ensure the garden's ongoing maintenance, programming and extended hours . This garden hopes to serve many children, students and families for years to come!
